From haunted mazes to costume parties, Montrose has plenty of spooky fun planned this Halloween. Here’s a look at where to celebrate around town and in surrounding areas. Below are a few ways to spend your Halloween weekend in Montrose.

 

Horsefly Brewery Halloween Costume Contest & Tap Night

Oct. 29 | All Day | 846 E. Main St., Montrose

Horsefly Brewery is kicking off Halloween week with an all-day celebration benefiting Mrs. Claus for a Cause. Festivities include live music, food, and special tap releases throughout the day, with the costume contest starting at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come dressed to impress—creative costumes could earn prizes while supporting a great local charity.

 

Downtown Montrose Candy Crawl

Oct. 31 | 3–6 p.m. | Downtown Montrose

Kids can trick-or-treat at more than 60 participating storefronts during this free, family-friendly event hosted by Montrose DART. Local businesses will hand out candy and run carnival-style games such as ring toss and bean bag toss.

 

The Association — Three Nights of Halloween

Oct. 29–31 | The Association, Downtown Montrose

Celebrate spooky season and The Association’s one-year anniversary with three festive nights:

Wonderful Wednesday (Oct. 29, 6 p.m.) — Live piano with Stephen Miller.

Halloween Trivia Night (Oct. 30, 6:30 p.m.) — Hosted by Trivia Folks. Prizes throughout the night, plus a costume contest for a gift card. (Disclaimer: Montrose Business Times managing editor Justin Tubbs hosts this event.)

Halloween Party (Oct. 31) — Trick-or-treating for kids from 4–6 p.m.; live music at 5 p.m. with Coral Skye, followed by The Black Canyon Boys at 6 p.m. Enjoy food from MSSO Montrose, Meat & Gather, JitterSweet, and Sushi on the Roll. Drink specials all night.

 

Haunted House — Casa de Espantos

Oct. 31 | 7–10 p.m. | 1609 Ash Way, Montrose

Now in its fifth year, this bilingual haunted house returns with both scares and family fun. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for kids, or $5 for entry to the cemetery area only.

 

Honey Acre Farms Haunted Corn Maze

61601 Spring Creek Rd, Montrose

Oct. 31-Nov. 1 | Open until 11 p.m.

Wander through 14-foot corn stalks, roast marshmallows by the fire, and grab dinner or dessert from local food vendors like Bravo’s Food Truck and Cakes Baby.

Admission: $10 for kids (ages 4–12), $15 for 13 and up.

 

LFMG Music Academy Teen Costume Party

Oct. 31 | 6–9 p.m. | 1025 E. Main St. | Ages 14–18 | Free Admission

A Halloween bash just for teens, featuring live music, Rave Bingo by Faultless Inc., games, prizes, and refreshments.

 

Halloween Night at The Temple

Oct. 31 | 7 p.m.–late | The Temple Events Center

A burlesque and live music extravaganza hosted by The Colorado Pinup Club and Neon Sky Band. Costumes encouraged, drinks flowing all night. Tickets available at bit.ly/43bLJGL

 

Tru Vu Drive-In Halloween Weekend

Oct. 31 & Nov. 1 | Gates open 5:30 p.m. | 1001 N. Cascade Ave. in Delta

Dress in costume for a free “goolie bag.” The feature film Stitch Head starts at 7 p.m. Concessions open at 6 p.m. (Outside food allowed with $10 food permit.)

 

Shelter Distilling Halloween Party

Oct. 31 | 6–10 p.m. | Shelter Distilling, Montrose

Live music from Bell Creek Band, costume contest, and prizes. Open to all ages; 21+ to drink.

 

Elks Lodge Halloween Bash

Oct. 31 | 8 p.m.–Close | Montrose Elks Lodge | 21+

DNA Productions and DJ Ak One bring the music for a costume party with a photo booth, drink specials, and prizes.

 

DeVries Fruit & Veggies Haunted Maze

Oct. 31 | 6:30–9:30 p.m. | Olathe

Cash-only haunted maze with a special FFA fundraiser night Oct. 25. $15 admission; proceeds support the Olathe FFA.
 

Sidelines Sports Bar 4th Annual Halloween Bash

Sidelines Sports Bar is back with its 4th Annual Halloween Party this Friday at 9 p.m., featuring live music from local favorite Dave’s Fault. The night will include a costume contest with prizes for first and second place, plus plenty of Halloween fun and Sidelines’ signature late-night energy. It’s one of the bar’s biggest events of the year—and always a crowd favorite.

 

Halloween at Pomona Brewing Company

Oct. 31 | 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. | Pomona Brewing Company

Pomona Brewing Company is celebrating Halloween in style with a full day of festivities. The event features a special beer release, kitchen specials, and a costume contest with prizes for first, second, and third place—no theme required, just bring your best look.

Pomona will also announce the winner of its pumpkin carving contest, with entries carved onsite earlier in the week (Monday through Thursday, 4–8 p.m.). Stop by for great food, local beer, and plenty of spooky fun.

 

Valley Manor Care Center Hosts Community Trick-or-Treat

Oct. 31 | 3-6 p.m. | Valley Manor

Valley Manor Care Center invites the community to join residents in celebrating Halloween Friday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 6 p.m. at 1401 Cascade Ave., behind the Holiday Inn Express.

The event welcomes all community members to stop by in costume and enjoy festive fun “in full glam.” Residents will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, creating a safe and joyful holiday experience for families and neighbors alike.

 

Corner Taps Halloween Weekend Bash

Oct. 31 & Nov. 1 | 8 p.m. | Corner Taps

Corner Taps is throwing a two-night Halloween Weekend Bash packed with spooky drink specials, jello shots, and live music from DJ Val. Costumes are encouraged, and the staff promises a wild, high-energy celebration both nights. Come ready to dance, sip, and celebrate Halloween all weekend long.

 

Slow Culture Trunk or Treat Car Meet

Oct. 31 | 5–8 p.m. | 1436 Encanto Pl., Montrose

Car enthusiasts and Halloween fans alike are invited to the annual Trunk or Treat Car Meet hosted by Slow Culture. The event combines candy, costumes, and custom rides for a night of festive fun.

Classic cars, trucks, and tricked-out rides will line up for families to explore, while participants hand out treats to trick-or-treaters. Costumes are encouraged, and everyone’s welcome to join in the Halloween spirit for this community favorite.

 

Montrose Pooch Parade at Centennial Plaza

Oct. 30 | 4:30–7:30 p.m. | Centennial Plaza, 422 S. 1st St., Montrose

Halloween weekend kicks off with a howling good time at the annual Pooch Parade, a family-friendly celebration that benefits local furry friends.

Dog owners are invited to dress up their pups for the costume contest and parade through downtown. The event also features a photo booth, pooch painting, bobbing for apples, and a K9 training demo showcasing canine smarts.

Registration opens at 4:30 p.m., and the parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Free treat bags will be provided by Chow Down Petstore. All are welcome to join in this “pawsome” evening of fun at Centennial Plaza.

 

Spooktacular Street: Trick-or-Treating on Main Street (Olathe)

Oct. 31 | 3–6 p.m. | Main Street, Olathe

Olathe’s Spooktacular Street returns for an evening of safe and festive trick-or-treating in the heart of town. Families are invited to bring their little ghosts and goblins to Main Street for candy, decorated trunks, and plenty of spooky fun.

The community-wide event runs from 3 to 6 p.m., with setup beginning at 1:30 p.m. Businesses, organizations, and residents are encouraged to join in the fun by setting up a trunk, truck bed, canopy, or storefront to hand out treats.

Halloween Dance at The Temple Events

Nov. 1 | 9 p.m.–late | The Temple Events Center, 511 E. Main St., Montrose (second floor)

The Temple Events Center will host a lively Halloween Dance on Saturday, Nov. 1, featuring live performances by Los Caballos and Sombra Norteña.

Women get in for $20 before 10 p.m., and minors are welcome. A full bar will be available for guests 21 and over. Get ready for a festive night of music, dancing, and celebration as the Halloween weekend continues in downtown Montrose.
