The final Montrose Truck Stop food truck rally is today

The fourth and final Montrose Truck Stop celebration will take place this coming Thursday, September 19, in the Block 93 public space featuring food trucks, live music, and shopping. Admission is free to the public.

From June through September, the Montrose Truck Stop series has been held on the third Thursday of each month in the parking lot of Block 93. Block 93 is the first alley north of Main Street between Cascade and Townsend Avenues.

The Montrose Truck Stop series has become popular among Montrose locals with solid attendance at each of the Truck Stop events held this summer. Each event features craft food trucks, live music, and vintage shopping at 93 Flea by Mosaic.

“This event is one of my absolute favorites because it brings the community together in such a fun, vibrant way,” said Michelle Wingfield, DART and community programs coordinator. “I love the unique venue of Block 93—right in the heart of Downtown Montrose—and the rotating lineup of food trucks keeps things fresh and exciting each month. It’s always a great time, and I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the final Truck Stop of the season!”

In addition to the food trucks and live music, a beer garden and a visual effects show is planned for the Thursday, September 19, event. All proceeds from the beer garden benefit the local Montrose Boys & Girls Club.

“It has been an incredible experience with each Montrose Truck Stop event, seeing much of the neighborhood come by for new food experiences, a cold beer, and live music,” said Jon Sullivan, the City of Montrose Public Works special events manager. “We live in a wonderful place. With many more new food trucks and killer tunes for this Montrose Truck Stop finale, we hope to see the whole town swing by to join us!”

For the past several years the City of Montrose has been working to develop Block 93 as a unique public space in downtown that is capable to hosting large community events with live music, food, and family-friendly activities.

Block 93 is part of the City of Montrose’s Development and Revitalization Team (DART) initiative that brings together local business owners, artists, event planners, and downtown enthusiasts to host local community celebrations throughout the city.
